Bass boat revival.... 2003 Fisher Pro Hawk 180

Man, has this been a project...... almost finished....painting hull today....carpet well and I'm finally finished.

    20 total circuits rewired/created.... Almost 70 hours.

Installed a new switch panel plus an additional panel containing 12v USB chargers and battery status monitor.

Total recarpet.... We built the "marine carpet" out of indoor/outdoor +.25 roofing rubber....20+ hours.

Installed "new" HDS10 2gen Lowrance unit..... Plus another smaller unit on the bow.... Plus rewired Hook7 and Old Garmin GPS.

Built deck extension.... Now 9.5' to almost 11'....created 2 new storage boxes.

Lit every compartment plus the deck. Added gas struts to every compartment.

Built a recessed trolling motor pedal pan from a $4.50 Albertson's cake pan.... hehehe

New hardware all around.... etc etc etc

Installed Mercury Vesselview.... Using 10.1" android pad mounted at console as the monitor. Plus, by using the pad and a Hotspot the possibilities are endless.... Google Earth, radar weather, music, additional Navionics screen, etc.

Painting the boat with Raptorliner (GREAT stuff) in Volvo Forest Green... Dark green, almost black. Custom Fisher vinyl 5' x 1' decal for side hull. Used the same stuff on the hood of my truck and it was easy to use and turned out pretty well. Warning, removing baked on 17 year old decals was a PITA...

Will post a couple of pics of the finished product when it's done...

    Nice! Great job!

I’m impressed with all of the staff bags and golf items on your wall!

Not that bad really.....but I'm fairly "resourceful" 😉 (A.K.A., due diligence) ..... Counting the HDS10 2 purchase I'm all in for less than $1500.... and everything I've done isn't listed.

I have a good friend who is a former BASS angler and has been working in the fishing industry for north of 30 years now. (national sales manager for a major boat manufacturer now). He told me that it would cost well north of $5k to have somebody do what I'm in the process of doing. I sure wouldn't do it for $5k.....lots of hours.

However, I like a good project. I've learned a lot over the years as the result of taking on projects with lil to no experience. It's very rewarding to DIY... at least for me.

Not sure I'm following your thinking?? Both rod boxes are located exactly where I've seen them in most every tournament size boat I've ever fished in. The ones that had a single center rod box also had boxes on either side of center box. They were also rod boxes if the owner preferred to use the center box for tackle storage.
