Hospitals to deliver at

Anyone have any recommendations for which of these two hospitals to deliver at? Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance or Baylor Scott and White Grapevine are the two options we have. Anyone have any positive or negative experience at either of these hospitals, regardless of the department you were in? Obviously if you have had experience in their labor and delivery unit and/or NICU, that info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks GS!

Never had a delivery at either but have been to both ER's with wife and kids and prefer grapevine. Both my kids were born at Medical City Dallas.

Been to the er at grapevine and it was good

My wife delivered at Harris Southwest and their NICU team was incredible and made that experience a little more calm. I’d expect them to have the same standards across their system.

Our first born was delivered at Baylor Grapevine and our second was born at Alliance. Had a good experience with both. Preferred Alliance because it was just a few miles from the house so it made it easier to make quick trips back and forth if needed.

Good feedback we are touring grapevine now. They are both equidistant from the house, so it really comes down to which one we end up preferring more.

When you asked your OB/GYN, which one did they recommend?

I did most of my rotations at Baylor Grapevine, including labor and delivery, when I was in Paramedic school and really liked the hospital. As they have continued to add and build it has only gotten better. Have never been Methodist Alliance though.

One of the guys I work with his wife is one of the lactation specialists at Alliance. Like I said both were good, I think my wife preferred alliance but not 100% certain. It's all going to depend on the nurse on what type of experience you will have.

After touring, Baylor Grapevine has some really good stuff. We really enjoyed it. Will go to Alliance in the next few weeks.

My son was born at Baylor Grapevine, and they were fantastic!
