    HHA Optimizer Ultra

Just purchased this sight. I know instructions and videos say best way to get sighted in is the 20 yd. - 60 yd... That being said I am not comfortable shooting accurately at 60 yds. nor do I have somewhere convenient to shoot at 60

I have heard / seen you can do the 20 - 40yd. method too.

Anyone done the 20/40 instead and had it work with good results?

Tried searching TBH and didn't see anything on this just people who had done the 20/60 method.

I did the 20/40 on a different HHA a few years ago and didn't have any issue. Theoretically the 20/60 gives a more "accurate" tape, but if your 40 yard group is a lot tighter than your 60 would be, I see no downside using their conversion. Also, if most of your shots will be inside 40 you should be within minute of deer with the tape it tells you.

Thanks yes more than likely will not be shooting animals 40+ usually 30 is the furthest I Go. I would just like assuming I use the 20-40 method that I can shoot out to 60+ for recreational 3D shooting etc.

20/40 works good. I’ve sighted both my HHA sights at this distance.
