Default Any Starlink Users getting service yet?

Anybody using Starlink yet. Just wondering if it's made it into North Texas yet. I'm signed up and hope to get service by the time my house is finished. Just got an update from them but no timeline. Just that they are running behind because of the chip shortage.

He signed up in May and got his equipment in july. But he also needed a pole mount to get the dish above his trees and that too a couple more months. The prior service he had was long distance wifi and would only get about 5 mbps on a good day. The star link got 50 out of the box and 75-100 after he mounted ii on the antenna mast above the trees.

Put a deposit down in Feb with projected implementation "mid to late 2021". Just check my account last night and it now says "mid 2022". I'm working on ViaSat satellite right now and can't accomplish anything.

Heard on the news last week that SpaceX had their first successful launch of 22 out of cape Canaveral earlier in the week and it was 34 new starlink satellites... Maybe that'll get more folks up and operational that have paid deposits... Wonder how long after they are launched before the new satellites are functional and part of the grid??

We got it last month, after years living with cellular internet out in the country it's pretty spectacular. 75 mb down is pretty consistent, with peaks over 200 mb.

We were on the waiting list about a year. They seemed to add our whole neighborhood at once, several neighbors got it at the same time.

As much as they've been testing rocket engines they should have a whole lot more than that. I think there were 3 the week before the freeze and one last night. Shakes my house and I'm 40+ miles away.

I will need to look into this thing they call starlink. Lack of quality internet has been my biggest complaints of moving to a very rural area.

No. I'm not moving.

The satellites being launched started up north. They are gradually making their way down south. Just checking how far south they have made it.

Is there a coverage map somewhere to see who should have service now? It would be cool to track that to see when I need to buy in for Austin County. Which is way further south then most of yall waiting on it now.

Really excited to hear that it is actually a real thing. I was thinking is was just a myth. I am building my forever home later this year where there is almost zero cell coverage even. As soon as I get my address I am going to get on the waiting list. Rural internet has been stressing me out most of all about our move to the country, as I have a job that requires me to work from home some days.
