Hope everyone had a good season last year! I hunted more than I ever have and I did during my last few months of building my new house. Thought my wife was going to divorce me because our house flooded 2 times while I was gone before we moved in.

Anyway good luck to everyone this year and if anyone is hunting around Fal give me a shout. Chuy, Pena and I try to get together during the season when I’m down there from Baton Rouge.

Also just started my pool build today and have a hog/predator hunt booked for first weekend of April so I’m sure my wife will love that.

One of the good things that came out of 2020 was Dimmit county bow hunting. Looking forward to 2021.

Coyotes got to him before we did.

Still horned in Jim Hogg for most of them but a couple have dropped. Looks like most of South Texas is under a fire weather watch. We need some agua.

Since season ended I've had a 9 and 10 show up. Both weren't on cameras or seen by any of us. The freeze really pushed deer to feeders that normally may not have gone

We found a few descent sheds in Zavala County last week. We need rain in a bad way. Tanks are in really bad shape.

Last year was best/worst season in a long time for me. Best because for the first time in a very long time I had no guiding commitments and got to just enjoy a lease with friends and family. Worst bc we had a horrible year horn wise. As many have mentioned, Dimmitt county is a little bit dry! Looking forward to a better spring and summer hopefully. For what it’s worth, the best definitely trumped the worst last year!

My brother and his family are down at our place in McMullen Co. They picked out about dozen good sheds. Some still carrying half racks or the whole thing. 2 more weeks and they should be shed out completely.

I will be heading down next weekend and hoping to find a few sheds. Had a few nice deer go MIA towards the end of the season and so I’m hoping they made and are on camera.

Got back from our place last week and it’s dry as heck. Only thing growing is the mesquite.

We are super dry (southern Webb) need rain in a desperate way. Cows have been wearing out feed pens and getting to our CS due to nothing else to eat. Working hard to keep em out so the deer have something to eat. Just nuts as last year we had so much rain.

I’m glad to see y’all are getting rain down there, I was in Batesville, Cotulla, and Carrizo Springs working all week and that country was bad dry!

Just returned form Big Wells area. Had 5-7" over last week or so. Tortuga creek was flowing & all my ponds are brim full. What a sight to see after 2 yrs of drought.

Corn is only up about a $1 at Buccees in NB. Headed to fill feeders tomorrow.

If I have to pay the $10+ they're asking everywhere else I might have to sign these deermocrats up for unemployment.

I am seeing some does with big bags and empty bellies. They are dropping quite a few now. Not seeing many with the does, so they are still hidden. This rain is timely and will aide in the early survival of a lot of fawns.

Famlogs said we got 2.6" last night and neighbor said he got 3.25". We are somewhere around 23" of rain on the year!

I know that there are a few of us that hunt around Aguilares Texas. There is a dirt road out of the back of town that runs all the way to San Ygnacio Texas.

I hunt off that road. Wondering if there are an others that hunt off that dirt road??..
