    Check into

This is the route I went when I was having major back problems

I did the shot thing a couple times and it didn’t not give me much relief then I came across the bed

    Helped me tremendously

Shots helped for a little while. Had nerves burnt twice it helps but man does it suck at the time. Like a hot screwdriver stuck in my back.

I just did the first round yesterday, it was on my neck. So far it feels a lot better but the doctor said it might work on the first one for a while, often times three are necessary. He also said in my case I’m just delaying the inevitable, surgery will have to be done at some point in the near future.

Shots didn't work for me. Had the ablasion that was supposed to last 6 months -2 years. lasted 1 week. Waste of money. These guys are in the business of MAMAGING the pain, which never goes away. They want you hurting so they can keep milking your wallet. Hope they work for you

You can try disc decompression therapy. It’s kinda like they stretch you to pull the herniated parts back in to alignment. I did it several years ago and it did help

Start “dead hanging” on a bar. I had shots- pills- pain management- ended up with a fusion. Hanging was only thing that seemed to help me

My MRI sounds like yours. I have an appointment with a spine specialist for injections as well. So far the best thing for me has been an inversion table. 10 minutes 3-4 times a week has helped me quite a bit. I'll have to have surgery some day, but im buying time.

Steer clear of Chiro’s! Injections are hard on your internals but you have to weigh it out IF the injections work! If you don’t get long term relief after the first couple be done with them .

The last line of my report says:

IMPRESSION: Multilevel discogenic disease is present.

Basically, degenerative disc disease. My mother had that when I was a kid.

Absolutely zero benefits from shots prior to surgery. 15 years later again "tweeked" and landed in 10 out of 10 pain zone...again shots didn't do anything. 3 months later and lot's rehab, weight loss I back in "new normal" zone. Saying this, shots worked well and often for my dad enough over 15 years that he never had back surgery.

I have a disc herniation L4/L5 also and a fractured vertebra that they dont want to do surgery on. Ive tried physical therapy, multiple injections and nothing has worked, i just live with it now. I have good days and bad days.

I had steroid injections in my lower back in the late 90's. The last shot I was eligible to get finally did the trick. No more pain. I was fighting a sciatic nerve problem. It has been good every since. I do believe the injections has caused some arthritis in my lower back. No pain but very stiff in the mornings. That's about all I can add. Good luck OP!

I’m in the same boat, I think. Have had 5 surgeries on my left foot, one on my right knee, and 3 hernia surgeries. I don’t want to get cut on anymore. A couple of years ago got an MRI that showed a herniated disk that was causing all kinds of nerve pain in my legs. Got an injection after medication didn’t help. Got an injection and it helped out TREMENDOUSLY!!! But, it has been about a year and a half since and the nerve pains have come back, and now I wake up every night multiple times with horrible lower back pain. We have a sleep number bed and I’ve tried changing the firmness of the bed from super soft to hard as a rock and it hasn’t helped.

Guess I should go back to a doctor but don’t want to hear what they have to say.
