Great photos of a very cool deer!

Have you seen her in person?

I’ve seen pics before but never in person. I think the only way I could shoot one is if it were adorning some serious head gear and even then I’m not sure.

        Super cool!

I saw one in the neighborhood a few months ago.

Just when you think you've seen it all nature shows you we don't know nothing!

Only ones I have seen on the hoof were in Buds
I’d never shoot one. I’d rather watch them yr after yr

I’ve seen two, a live doe and a dead buck. Silly bastage that killed the buck just killed him because he was black. He gave the whole deer to someone else. It was just a six point. I wanted to ***** slap him but it was none of my business.

As Walker stated above there’s quite a few in the Kingsbury area just outside of Luling, Tx. I’ve got a buddy over there who’s got somewhere between 8-10 on a regular basis at his feeder along the San Marcos river.

I’ve never seen one myself. Got a few around with some white on them, but never seen an albino either. Pretty neat. I did see a melanistic Killdeer bird running around a tank with two normally colored ones once.

I have seen several in Navarro county as well. I also noticed that the fawns of the black doe that did not get the melanistic gene sported what seemed to a much darker fur than normal deer.

That is very cool. I had one come by me in Lee county back when I was in high school.
