Sorry I didn't back sooner to you Joe, been real busy in the shop... # 3 is actually acrylic I think you were asking about the wood in the bar b que set. That dark wood is wenge wood. It's a oily wood part of the rosewood family, great woods for kitchen applications as it's very resistant to moisture. It looks a lot like black palm wood, but not a grainy.
