    Cheater Feeder

With certain responsibilities needing me to keep close attention to, and not allowing me to get further than shouting distance from the house, I haven't been able to get away to hunt much.

    I've solved that problem.

Stand is 20 yards south of the house, and the feeder is 30 yards beyond that. Already have turkey coming all hours of the day, and a few deer at night.

The stand is a modified 15ft ladder stand to have a comfortable swivel seat on it.

Should be awesome during the rut.

Turkey as as bad as pigs on our place. Good hunting Rick. At least the drag should be short.

I have the sides of the feeder blocked, so it throws most of the feed at me, or directly under the barrel, but I'll hand corn at about 15 yards anyway.

I do though, fully intend to put a direction feeder mechanism on it sometime down the road.

It's a two legged feeder stand made to be attached to a tree.
I pushed it back to there, to give it a little more seclusion.

I don't expect it to be a spot where I see a lot of deer during daylight hours, but during the rut the bucks chase the doe through my back yard, so it should be pretty good come that time. Had three doe standing inside the fence of my back yard at about 3 p.m. just a few days ago.

Sat, and watched a doe with two yearlings for about 30 minutes after sun up here this morning. They were clueless.

                Side note:
She's still letting them nurse. Good mama.

Yeah but they are getting more independent. They come to the feeder and wander without momma now. Another couple of weeks and I won't worry too much about it.

Best way to hunt if you’re able.

Now it has the directional thrower on it. Let's see an LDP!

Not ready to hit them there yet.
I even turned the feeder off.
Once they clean up what is on the ground I'll start the feeder back up.

Once I notice regular travel to it, and bucks following the does to it I'll likely give it a go.
