    2015 Chevy duramax

2015 Chevy duramax. Keeps flashing at me and making that ping noise. Service trailer brakes
Has Anyone ran into this? Little help green screen. No trailer hooked up- just driving down the road.

Mines been doing it for a couple of years, that and the tire sensors. Trailer brakes still work, censors have been gone for 7-8 years. Have never even looked into the fix, can't be much though I wouldn't think. Trailer brakes only flash when it's raining.

I know a bad trailer brake controller will make it do that.

There might be a recall notice for that problem. Requires a re-flash of the ECM. Something to do with a software glitch. Any Dealer should do the re-calibration at no cost. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/11/gm-r...ke-issues.html

It's a chevy....be happy a light is working. Just kidding but why do chevys always seem to have a headlight or running light out?

I’ve got a 2015 1/2 ton that does the exact same thing.. it’s pretty intermittent.. I saw a video of someone saying they changed the switch out on the dash and it fixed it but didn’t work for me..

Because they use reconditioned ones out of a Ford

I did find 2 blown fuses. Replaced.
I’ll see what’s going on with it.

I've experienced some issues like that when my brake fluid level has gotten low as well.

Fuses did not blow again, still good. Still throwing code.
I’ve seen to replace little switch directly behind brake controller. My next option. Will order on Amazon

check your factory trailer plugs in the rear, thats where my problem was coming from. Exact same symptoms as yours just on a dodge.

Will do, for now I just pulled both fuses out. The pinging noise has gone away. Will keep digging into it.

Update on this guys- replaced factory break controller. Found new one on amazon for roughly $40. Been 2-3 weeks. Perfectly fine. Pinging noise gone. No more blown fuses. Pulled multiple times since then.
2 plugs in back of it. Problem solved
Again I’m in 2015 Chevy duramax
