I have feed protein for 2 years now, I do a 14% protein mix with alfalfa pellets and corn, deer was tearing it up until about 2 weeks ago, now nothing is hitting them. Am I the only person that this is happening to, Young county?

The new green tastes better. It will burn up soon.

Always slows down this time of year. In the next month or so when fawns hit the ground the doe will start hitting it good. Bucks usually wait until horns start to show.

Really slow for us as well. Filled feeders middle of february and still 3/4 full. Really green and they normally start hitting it hard again in May.

They slowed down in Erath County, due to the green growth. They have only consumed about 250 lbs over the last month.

I'm about to go top things off.. We are going through 3 tons of cottonseed and 4.5 tons of protein in Webb a month, it's so **** dry and the freeze set back a lot of the native browse. The black brush and guajillo branches are still bare. Mesquite and cactus look good though, lol..

We hunt just outside of Eldorado. Our protein consumption has went way down with the green growth coming out. The deer have pretty much stopped eating corn totally.
