Grizz- not sure on rankings but will admit La Tech should not have dropped one to UAB. Gave up an 8 run cluster of an inning in the 2 game yesterday. They head to Rice next weekend and need to sweep on the road.

Hard to believe all 6 teams I watched in Arlington opening weekend were top 10 then.....and all of them still are. I'd like to see them play that agian!


Not sure if I buy #4 just yet, but I'm here to be proven wrong! I havn't been able to watch much lately, but it sounds like starting pitching has been excellent, and they are putting together some sequential offense.

La Tech is ranked from 16-22 in the 5 polls. Have 4 games with Rice this weekend. Bulldogs are top ranked Non Power 5 and have been playing good baseball

I’ll go on record stating I’m concerned with this Texas Tech team, thwy seem to poop the bed on the road. Bullpen, even tried and true relievers are suspect and prone to handing out free passes like Candy on halloween. They seem to approach every hitter if they have to strike them out, despite solid fielding and proven ability to turn double plays. Batting lineup seems to get squeamish with runners in scoring position.

You could replace “Tech” with “A&M” and be pretty much spot on the last two weekends on the road.

They have been without their Day 2 pitcher (Bryce Miller) both weekends because of Covid protocol. Unfortunately, Childress hasn’t been competitive in his weekend starts. Detmer could make a push to get in the weekend rotation. He pitched really well against the Horns.

Don’t see Childress making it another year at A&M. This year just isn’t a good team. And there’s zero reason to be in that position. Rob is the guy, if you just want to make it it the Regionals or Supers on a regular basis, but that’s about the extent of his success.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays a while longer. College baseball isn’t like other sports where coaches hop around. A coach staying with a program for 20 years isn’t too uncommon.

They showed a stat on TV the other day that only 3 schools in the country have made the post season for the last 13 straight seasons or more. A&M is one of them.

Childress just needs to bring in someone that can get these guys to hit. That’s always been the biggest flaw with his teams.

Benches clear, Texas loses its 2B, SS, and 3B for rest of this game and tomorrow. That’s three of Texas best players. Series changed drastically.

Not sure what KState players are ejected.

Nothing wrong with making the 3rd out at home(especially early in the game). You don't want to make the second out at home. I'll ask Burroughs what happened.

It's a steadfast rule of baseball. You always send the runner with 2 outs. This is not really debatable, it's been that way for over 100yrs
