    That old GMC front seat.

Not really a DIY project but I know a lot of guy's have the same problem.
2005 GMC 2500 driver seat change out.
The cuts in the middle was me taking out the velcro for the new seat cover that didn't have it. Left side of seat gone like most GMC/Chevy's.

Attached velcro from old seat to new seat night before with hot glue

Remove front seat(need E-TORX Star Socket Set for this Amazon $13.00 for a set) Also found $4.65 in change.
    Remove bottom seat.

Remove old seat cove and take off heated seat mesh

Put heated seat mesh on new seat with 3M 45

    Seat cove installed.

    Back in truck

Side not I could not fine my same color of leather so I just got close. Color code inside glove box
    Whole project about 2 hours
Also watched a few YouTube videos for pointers.

    Total
    Cover $59.00
    Cushion $81.00
    Socket set.$12.00 all from amazon
    - $4.65 I found.

So just out of curiosity how much would a junk yard seat cost?

Not sure but most probably look like the one I took out.

Power seats for trucks from pick n pull SA run about 40 bucks. Like OP stated, good luck finding one not ripped up!

          Nice work!

I had a 60/40 split bench in my '89 that I had worn a hole all the way through.
I replaced it with some high back buckets and center console out of some 93-95 models. Working on refinishing the whole interior at the moment. The new headliner is kinda "wild".

              Good job.
Where did you get the cushion and cover from?

eBay generally has them close to the factory leather. I did one a couple years ago in an 05 Yukon I had and it was almost a perfect match. I’m probably the only one that knew it wasn’t the Original.

Everything was from Amazon. Just because I wanted if fast, might be better prices somewhere else.
