All wardens are equiped with a shrimp DNA testing kits now. Each kit cost $200 and takes 45 minutes to get a result...but its worth every minute and penny each time a warden is able to prove and convict little Jimmy of catfishing with frozen shrimp from Asia.

Hit Conroe with a friend today for three hours. 37 cats. Left them biting. Lost plenty from breaking off. The bite is on.

Chicken livers 3 to 1 over shrimp. Bulkhead cats love chicken livers. Went thru three tubs of livers.

I don’t have any livers. I have shrimp, and punch bait.

Not true. Certain baits out preform others in most instances. Just have to figure out which bait is king during any given period and what species your are going for.

How deep is the water on the bulkheads if you don't mind me asking? New to catfishing the lake and want to get my son on a bunch of them next week. we have caught a few this year shallow while crappie fishing but no real numbers. We mainly fish the south end since we have a boat ramp in the neighborhood

I like at least three feet of water depth on the ones we hit. We anchor about 15 yards off the bulkhead and toss it as close as possible to it and hang on. We tried fishing with two poles each today, it wasn’t possible as fast as they were hitting.

Thank you sir. I hope to be on the water Monday or Tuesday evening once I get out of this desert they call Midland Tx. We tried a few bulkheads last weekend with no luck

Get a sane for minnows..Glass minnows preferably. Rent a Jon boat and run a trot line.
