West Feeds is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician. The qualified candidate will function in both an electrical and mechanical capacity and will be responsible for the preventative and unscheduled maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
The following skills are required:
- Have a solid understanding of electrical maintenance—be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical problems involving electric motors and equipment.
- Have a strong degree of competence to weld and fabricate to repair equipment and install new equipment as needed.
- Have the availability to be on a scheduled, on-call rotation for breakdowns and repairs after hours.
- Physically, must be able to: climb ladders and stairs, work in high places (100+ feet), work in hot and cold environments, bend, kneel, lift heavy objects, and walk frequently.
Other skills needed:
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Be able to manage maintenance projects and fellow employees while meeting the company's maintenance objectives and goals.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
