If it came down to the wire, and you were closer (I'm near Houston) I would definitely take you up on that offer.

A little bit of background. Last year I brought up several packs of homemade boudin that I made from my first trad kill the year prior (a hog at Big Oak Trad IV.) I even brought up an electric smoker to smoke them. Now either people were just being nice, or people liked it cause it was gone within a couple minutes. I figured if I was able to make it to the event again this year, I'd bring some more.
You going to post a recipe for that boudin?

Please do, it is a fine art. If a fish gets off right at the boat and you say it was 6 lbs, it might be, or course it might have been even bigger (not likely) or smaller. So hard to tell. That is not the same as telling and out right fib.

Absolutely. I am trying to practice being brief and more consise these days. (I tend to be long winded if you haven't noticed - I think it is because... well nevermind.) I will keep it short this time.

            Kill a hog
            Cut up a hog
            Cook a hog
            Grind a hog
            Cook a liver
            Grind a liver
            Cook some rice
            Mix all with some seasonings
            Stuff into a casing.

Hopefully I'll be able to continue another trend as well... Little John and Slayer can clean whatever I shoot on Friday evening

God I hope I didn't just jinx myself...

                Sounds simple enough. Thanks!

You are welcome. The recipe has been in my family for at least a generation.

Ah. Had I known that I wouldn't have asked.

                      Richard.

Edit: and now I need to find a place to kill a hog so I can make my own recipe.
