I've been thinking about doing something simular with hardie siding. How brittle do you think the hardie siding is going to be?

Long as it doesn't have direct blunt impact it should be fine.

Original 13 blinds have been in ground 2 seasons and work beautifully. If wind is fickle, we hunt with all windows closed and deer walk all around the blind without blowing us. Deer View windows open and close so quietly that we can open them to shoot or take pics, with deer at 15-20 yards.

Most recent blind I set, I changed door position by raising it up a foot. Makes it a little trickier to crawl down and into but I was able to bury blind 2 feet deep and lower overall profile a lot. It is really cool shooting at almost ground level and the stealth factor is awesome. This would only work in an arid part of the state.

                  Windows are 8 x 16 inches. Use 3 to a blind.

I had forgot about these. I plan on building one soon and wanted a roof like his. This helps the thought process

Yes sir, there are too many good ideas and methods on this site to let all the old stuff fall off the map. I was thinking about some of my favorites the other night and sent a bunch of them to the top.

Ever had any problems with snakes getting in them? Very nice work.
