Sorry to hear that happened to you. I took a fall off a ladder several years ago. Result was a shattered wrist that needed a plate and twelve screws to put back together. Two different surgeries to fix it cost me most of one year. I pay people to do that stuff since. Christmas light guy shows up tomorrow.

Get well soon and prayers for a successful surgery to put you back together.

All them wrecks on bucking horses and it's Christmas lights that put you on the shelf?

Glad it was minor compared to what it could have been.

I personally know two different people who fell and died, one off a 8ft ladder and the other off a step stool, both died of skull fractures, Christmas lights aren’t worth the effort

Need to be completely off the foot for 2 months, no rehab until after that

Cast it
Knee scooter off Amazon
If that is the reduction it looks great
I would recommend a lisfranc screw to be placed and one across cuneiforms.
But those could be done percutaneous.

This takes time with a 35% chance of needing Midfoot fusion at the first two joints.

My plan has always been to jump up off the ladder just before we hit the ground. If my math is correct it should cancel out the fall distance and i will land unfeathered.

Good luck on your recovery

Safety tip of the day - you should not do activities that rearrange your bones unless proper safety gear and precautions are in place to prevent rearrangement.

Prayers for a solid, speedy recovery and good stories in the future.

Not sure why a man of your means is hanging his own Christmas lights.

When I fell off the roof doing lights and **** near died I said screw them lights and the kids. They can look at the neighbors lights.

I feel this. I almost took a tumble. My wife wants me to go put lights on one of her aunts houses and I refuse because I would have to get on the 20 ftladder and the 20 ft ladder is not rated for a big boy.

I will stick to my 10ft and step stools
