Who's gonna sweat in the woods this weekend? They're calling for 88 for highs where I'll be but I'll be there.

I thought about sitting it out but the south wind is good for me to get into an area where my shooters usually are. I have actually seen more activity on hot days this month than the cool ones for some reason.

Made plans a few weeks ago to do a corporate fishing trip in Matty tomorrow and Friday. Can’t back out now, but our movement is picking ip tremendously. Bucks are trying to get some but the girls aren’t ready yet.
I’ll be in my tree on Sunday though.

I agree 100 %. My problem and lack of incentive is no shooters as of Monday. I’m checking cameras again today. I would love a reason to change my mind. But hunting 15 minutes from the house gives me a lot of flexibility. Josh I see blood on an arrow in your immediate future. Not that I’m Dione Warwick. LOL

Headed to NW OK tomorrow. Hunting Sat through Wed, supposed to be in the 80's the whole time. Can't shoot em from the house but I can't say I am optimistic about this trip. Hope I'm wrong.

Wife is going out of town so I will go hunting - my last chance before the rifle opener. We only have one feeder that has deer showing during daylight hours. I have a Krivo there so I will hunt it only in the mornings. (I no longer get in a ground blind when it's 85+) Evening hunts will find me in a ladder stand in the shade, Thermocell pumping.

I was sweating to. No wind at all. Went Monday morning and it was 37 degrees at my lease gate.

I just can’t catch a break. I work 7 days or nights on, then 7 days off. Every time I’m on shift, a front comes in and cools off. When I get off shift, it warms back up. This happened most of last season and starting back again this season.
I plan on leaving Saturday morning. I’ll check my cameras and see what’s going on. I do have some sets for a south wind, but with it hot, I doubt there will much moving.
And this is the week I always look forward to, the 3rd week in October. Usually looking at temps in the 50’s, bucks are getting anxious and are cruising. I always usually have a opportunity at a good buck at this time. The next good front is coming in next Wednesday. I go back on shift Thursday!!
Luckily, I got vacation coming up in November. I’ll be off from the 4th to the 24th. Should be able to catch the rut then and some colder weather.

I have a Doe in the freezer already. Its hard for me to stay out of the stand but I just had two bucks hanging out together at the feeder (neither of them targets) so I know prime time is still some time away. They need to be kicking each others asses, then I know I will have a shot at a mature boy.
