    Idiots with Guns

Second incident in a week-- first one was one degree of separation from me, not a news story.
Idiots like this guy and the headlines he generates are a SIGNIFICANT threat to 2A rights. SMH

Looks like we won't have to worry about having an effect after he is charged with a felony...

I'm not sure I understand your point. Surely you don't mean that any verbal issuance from a pregnant woman in a car warrants aiming a loaded handgun at her.
My fear is that increased incidence of episodes like these, and/or, God forbid, one escalating to someone being killed, will fuel a reactionary wave that could be permanently erosive of 2A rights.

          I don't think it's idiots with guns I think it's just idiots.
If she would have left it alone I think it would've been fine. Mistakes was made by both, learn and go on.

X2 But he still didn't need to pull the gun. Aparently he's a little small down south and had to make up for it somehow

I am fairly sure he was not making a point. Just a casual comment from a fellow forum member on a stupid situation. He did not defend, nor condone, the actions of either party. Or, he may have had a quick chuckle at how the article is written. Pregnant woman has no bearing on this situation. Jerk cut someone off, that someone decided to roll down the window and chastise the jerk. Jerk brandishes a weapon and speeds off. Actions have consequences. As a result of her action she could have been shot, yeah the guy was a scumbag but just pointing out a fact. Also, if she had shot him at this point it would likely not be self defense since she initiated/escalated the encounter in the eyes of the law.

I agree with SC here and the others who say they both made mistakes. I don't know what she was doing out a 2:52am but let's say she's getting off work or something legitimate. I would think it's safe to say there is usually a higher percentage of bad/shady people out at 2:52am, so if I, as a good person was out at that time, I'd be more aware and less trusting in the average person on the road. I would think this would be wise advice for anyone, especially a woman.

So now let's take this a step further, it's 2:52am and you just got harassed and flipped off by a man in a car who was speeding. At this point I'd think most rational humans (again especially a woman) would say to themselves, "Wow that guy is crazy, wonder if he's on something or if he just has anger issues? Either way, I'm going to back way off and let him go on, I don't want any further confrontation with that nutjob." But no....you pull up beside him and roll you window down to berate him??? Seriously? Listen, he needs to go to jail and do his time, he obviously doesn't need to be in possession of a firearm. At the same time, don't go kicking fire ant hills at 2:52am and be surprised when one of them bites you....or pulls a gun out.

Sorry to disagree, but libs do not need incidents such as these to warrant their gun grabbing schemes. They're born with that gene. There is ample proof that more guns = less crime but they won't acknowledge that fact and no amount of news that supports armed citizens having an effect on crime will sway them. Instead, every time that concealed carry laws were passed in state after state the libs started hollering "WILD WEST". After a time, no "wild west" being evident, you'd think a rational person might be open to the facts, but libs never let facts interfere with their agenda, which is to disarm all citizens except the "elite". The elite being movie stars, politicians, etc. This fits right in with their nanny state socialism.

I agree that they both made mistakes-- rolling down your window and yelling at somebody is stupid. Does it warrant brandishing a firearm in response? Not in my opinion, but all of that is beside the point.
The more idiots use guns in conducting their idiocy, the more focus is drawn to the weapon and how it can take a situation to 11 in the hands of someone irresponsible.
I also don't care about libs or what they think.
What I am concerned about is otherwise rational people who see, hear, and feel more and more unnecessary idiocy with firearms and start to think, "you know what, maybe we don't need these things because we obviously can't collectively own them responsibly."
I'm not saying it's the right conclusion, but as more of these incidents hit the news I have to wonder how they are landing with people in the middle/on the fence about gun rights.

Pretty clear from the article that homegirl turned onto the street while failing to yield the right-of-way. She justifies that by saying he was speeding. Tells you right there how much she cares about her baby.

                      Idiots gon' be idiots.

                        I'm conflicted.

Pulling out in front of someone and doing it slowly should be a shoot-able offense.
