      Did it do any real damage to the can, or simply a swipe of copper? If just a swipe, I wouldn't worry about getting it warrantied (assuming the problem resides in the mount or rifle threading).

      And I agree with the above, crush washers are the debbil. Before I knew any better I mounted a big brake on my manbun using a crush washer. I ended up having to dremel the washer off, it deformed to the point it wouldn't clear the threads. Nothing but jam nuts or shims now.
