I'm set to take my grandsons. I've got everything I need except for those flashlight batteries that will only run the light for about 30 minutes... Anybody know where I can get those?!!

I'll let 'em borrow my whistle. They've been practicing to get the pitch just right...

I've never been, are these covered under the regular hunting license or do you have to have something special?

I have eaten bunches. We would shoot them down south in marshy areas. Stupid fast fliers. Taste like dove...

Well hell,anybody can get 'em in the daylight with a gun!! You ain't no real snipe hunter unless you can get 'em at night in the deep woods with a whistle and a 'toe sack!!

If you are jumping them you are a heck of a good shot sir. I usually can get a limit of doves with 18 shells and jumping Snipe humble me...

According to the handbook, legal means for Snipe taking is at night while they're on the run. Daylight shooting is not a legal means of harvest on July 4. The whistle and toe sack seem to work the best by hiding a light at the bottom of the bag.
