    I thought this was interesting...

    I picked up this old Winchester crate the other day... It originally housed 10 Winchester 94 carbines... The serial numbers are listed on the back.. all from 1940...

                      From the Winchester site... I’m thinking early’43 since there’s no records between
                      ‘43 and ‘48...

                          My 1894 was made 100,000 rifles after the ones on the crate. Mine has a barrel stamped 1942 though the SN falls in the "No Record years"

                              It was made during the’43-‘48 time period... Why does it have 1942 on the barrel?
