We do 7 16's because after 16 hours of work exhaustion sets in and accidents/injuries are alot more likely. That being said we work longer in special situations, 22 hours is my longest storm day. Working in the wire environment exhausted doesn't end well for alot of people, thankfully my company is very big on safety.
