Pump Sprayer Air Release Valve

Has anyone found a way to repair/eliminate the air release valve on pump sprayers? Have throw away several after being unable to get the air release to stop leaking. The YouTube videos say replace the o-ring. Never been successful replacing the o-ring.

I completely broke mine off the other day . I’m gong to try to plug it some how . Maybe with so jb weld

Jb weld hbx pump sprayer release valve burns out quick. Bought a Scott sprayer i think $5 more no problems 3-1 on uses so far. Don’t even need the purge valve but it always leaks.
Ol son the date on that hdx sprayer says 19! Bought 2 in 20 and 21 both are already trash! Scott sprayer for sure

RTV all over the outside would be my guess.

Take the purge valve out and put a piece of flex tape over the hole.

I wonder if a valve stem for a wheel, might fit? They make different diameter valve stems. I would bet you could find one that will fit or the hole might be made larger, for one of the larger diameter valve stems.
