Furring strips installed today. Started putting up rough cut pine 1x12s
Should have it all up by the weekend.
Planted 3 food plots yesterday and put out 1/2 ton of fertilizer. Got 1” of rain today.

One wall up, 424 screws later..

I’ll trim the bottoms off flush when I’m done with all the boards.

looks like you screwed you R-panel straight to the decking. Any reason you didnt use strips?

Ive seen it both ways. Im not far from putting a metal roof on our 12x20 that has a composite shingle roof. I had planned on putting some treated strips then screwing metal to that. Unless I can go right to the shingle?

You can do it either way but make sure if you don’t run 1x4 furring you use the maximum amount of screws possible. My ends are screwed through the deck and into the 2x6 sub facia on 8” centers so wind isn’t going to pull it up.

Second wall done. On schedule to have all the walls up by the 1st of next week.
Trim and batts next days off. They are sticker stacked in the bar drying for now.
