    Pipe Fence Advice?

I’m getting quotes for a pipe fence. What advice do you have for me? What questions should I be asking? How do I know if they’re worth their salt?

Wait if you can. It’s high like osb right now.
Post depth, and wether they concrete or drove into the ground. Post spacing is important, along with expansion joints. The pipe expands in the summer and it’s going to look like a snake if there isn’t any.

Unfortunately I’m in a position where it must be done soon.

How deep should the posts be driven if not concreted in?

In temple I believe the ground is much more rocky than up here in Sherman. Up here we’re more clay. I prefer 36” depth for concretes day leave room to back fill 4-6” of dirt. Or pound in 48” depth. Pull post a little deeper.

New pipe or magnetized oil field pipe or “good” used pipe?

Depends on where you are in Temple.

Alot depends on what kind of fence your wanting, I had all my post 2 7/8 pounded 42 to 48 inches deep. I'm in rocky black-and-white. Drill stem has almost doubled in price in the last year.
