I Read a farewell to arms, the sun also rises, and for whom the bell tolls when I was in high school. All good, but For whom the bell tolls is still one of my favorite pieces of fiction, Spanish civil war being the setting.
Couldn’t put it down, especially during “el sordo’s last stand”

I have never read it, but am intrigued by all the responses. Will start listening to it here at work on the above youtube video. Guess now's a better time than ever to check this one off the list.

Here's a good version narrated by Charlton Heston

Can someone PM the sad ending so it doesn't ruin it for others.

Me too. I read it in HS as an assignment and was blown away. This book really kickstarted my love of reading. Listening to Moses read it to me, while laying on a beach drinking Dos Equis, was pretty awesome too.

Sounds rough. Your feet look better.

I watch the movie every time I see it on TV.
