I grew up with the Braves and watching Hank hammer home runs at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.

He was the greatest IMO.

Tough times losing Hank Aaron, Phil Niekro, Don Sutton and Tommy Lasorda in short order.

I remember seeing a game, Braves vs. Astros, the first or second year the 'dome was open where, during a pregame demonstration, Hank hit a popup straight up from second base that hit the roof. Whoever the Astros sent out couldn't get it up there.
A great ball player and legend of the game.

Him and David Robinson were playing golf together at a celebrity golf tounament in Austin. I caught up to their group to get their Autographs and they actually took the time to chat with me. Nice guys. Little know fact when Robinson signs aurographs he puts bible scriptures under his name. Still have those framed.

25 All Star Game appearances. Pure, sustained greatness. You've seen the notation, that if you take away his 755 dingers, he still had over 3000 hits.

Hank Aaron trivia.
He and his brother hold the record for the brothers who have hit the most home runs in MLB history.
Henry and Tommie Aaron have the most home runs for brothers with 756, one brother has 755 of them

Whew! Heard that earlier today.......really hit me hard. The changing of the guard (generational) is truly hard to watch in real time. The group between 80-100 are leaving extremely fast over the last 18 months or so. God speed and I can only imagine how incredible the heavenly field of dreams are today.

RIP Henry Louis Aaron. Watching "Hammerin' Hank" hit home runs was like seeing Gale Sayers run through a defense or Ben Hogan strike a golf ball. You knew you were witnessing greatness. You will be missed.
