Well maybe not nasty but I know how some of you are blinded by false truths.
So tell me why beans are not to be served in a bowl of chili and lease dont quote Ken Finley. Go.......

And yes this is slow night with a nice dirty martini keeping me company.

Awesome!!...Chili Bean rehash take 4,057....roll 'em!

I like both personally....wife likes a light amount of pinto beans in her chili, so when it's her turn to make the call (we switch each time) I throw some beans in. It has grown on me through the years and is pretty **** good.

I like to dump a couple cans of Ranch Style Beans with jalapeños in mine. I don’t get the whole bean controversy. Guys at the lease a couple weeks ago said something about the beans, but them jokers sho nuff finished that pot of “soup” off. Lol

Beans go in chili when you got chili to put them in. Otherwise, it's just beans.

In grade school, some nights, pintos was all we had, with lots and lots and lots of catsup.

Because some ol burnout potheads setting around in the desert one time, up and decided to makes some rules to screw with those weak minded enough to buy into them.

They also state that “chunks”, ie peppers/onions/tomatos/etc, are not allowed....but no one likes to talk about that as much as the frijoles.

I enjoy a good classic “Texas Chili contest” chili but I also like it with beans. I guess to some that makes me an apostate but it’s not a religion to me

My momma was born and raised in Edcouch Texas, and she puts beans in when she cooks chili...so all opinions to the contrary are null and void.

Real chili is a roux with meat in it. The question do you like beans in your chili is like asking do you like chili on your hamburger. It is a hamburger with chili on it. That should stir things up! Hahaha ��

I for one hate beans in chili. Wife loves kidney beans in it when she cooks it. I pick the dam beans out. But I will cook a pot of red beans (pinto beans for y’all city folk lol) and combine the two.

Beans have no place in chili because Jesus said so. And this is Texas.

I'm not a huge kidney bean fan but i will certainly eat them.

Has TBH had a chili cook off. I think it’s time so it could be settled, Beans or no beans. I suggest a couple judges that don’t really care and that won’t swing one way or the other just eat good chili. I have no problem holding it at my place or whatever we come up with. I’m thinking cash prizes and ammo for the top 3 winners. What ever we can come up with. Just a thought.

Just going by the original recipes but your right, we should probably ask Randy for his first hand experience. Heck, he showed Goodnght and Loving which trail to use.

Cubed meat is required for real chili

“Chili” is short for CHILI CON CARNE & “chili” con carne does not have beans...

It’s why even today there isn’t a single nationally recognized/sanctioned chili competition that allows fillers; beans nor pasta...

With beans, it’s chili con carne CON FRIJOLES....

Id bet they didn’t....
They would have carried dry beans with them on the trail, not canned...
The dry beans would have taken longer to cook than the chili itself & tasted like rocks...

How many of those who put beans in their chili, do so without using canned precooked beans?
