An ad popped up about renting land to campers and it got me thinking. The basic concept is VRBO or AirBnB for raw land, where people pay to camp in tents, or campers, RVs, etc on your land. Seems to be a big deal with hundreds of listing in and around the Austin area.

Does anyone have experience with this https://www.hipcamp.com/ ?

I stayed at one a few weeks ago. kinda last minute wanted to take kids camping and state parks were all booked. this place had 5 or 6 sites back in their woods and a couple ponds/tanks for kids to pull perch out of. it was just fine for a quick overnight campout
