Ha! Whoever edited that pic is quite impressive. That or he is really weird about good pics of great deer.

You guys are turning out some great bucks this year. Obviously a well run program. Great work!

In motley Several young bucks were chasing yesterday afternoon and today. The sleet storm we had really helps out wheat Muleys starting to flock to it counted over 35 between two fields. Ready for mule deer season in the coming weeks

Weíve had some nice ones hit the dirt so far. Weíve seen a couple of really big ones but havenít caught up with them yet. Seeing signs of the more mature deer starting to get interested in does. Things are definitely heating up.

Some good bucks already hitting the ground! Trying to get my son his first deer this evening. Football season has made it hard to get any hunting in, but hoping he can get it done today. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats, fellas!

It's day four for us. Seen a beautiful 10-point the other morning that I let walk so one of the kids or wife could have a crack at him. No broken antlers yet that I've noticed. We should be here through the end of the month. Hunt safe, y'all!

Carried my boy to the stand this morning and the itis ate him up. Couldn't wait on the 10, so for his first buck he took this young 8-point at 0715. Proud papa once again!

P.S. That's him in my avatar when he was four. He's now almost 13! Where does the time go??!!

Keep giving me updates on all your hunts. My shoulder surgery might very well keep me from hunting this year. 2 weeks out and just got my stitches out but told to do no more than the simple exercises given after surgery.
I might be living the 2020 hunting season thru you and all that post stories and pics on TBH this year!

Thank you, sir!

Get better soon, Mudslinger! We'll keep you posted.

Starting to see some big boys roaming so should be great this next week. Gonna be warm the next couple of days but looks like a decent cold front will hit this weekend.

Y'all be safe and shoot straight!

Have several bucks with broken tines. Had a 10pt bred a doe about 70 yards from feeder, on Sunday evening. Several of the mature bucks are MIA.

Hey folks,

New to the forum and to hunting the Panhandle, got my first chance to make it to Hemphill County to some some property my in-laws own the first weekend of November. Just wanted to pop in and be a contributor to this thread I've enjoyed reading so much. Headed up on Saturday night with my Brother-in-law to take him on his first hunt.

Well me made it up late last night and hunted this morning, saw one of my younger 8s with a doe he was tailing and nothing else. Cows broke my camera so no pictures either. Had 5 mule deer does and a buck 60 yards from the truck on the neighbors place as we walked out to grab breakfast. The neck on the whitetail buck I saw was swollen and it looks like the rut is on good.

I saw about 20 doe Saturday morning east of McLean with 5-6 young bucks chasing them. A nice 8 showed up for a minute and a big bruiser stuck his head out. I counted 11 but noticed he had broken off a few tines.

Hoping for a return visit with the 11 this next weekend.

Got it done on a mule deer buck tonight, my brother in law missed on 20 minutes after. Back at it again tomorrow looking for him another shot. Trying to figure out how to get pictures uploaded.

I took my oldest two up Sunday and came back yesterday. Sunday evening my 7-year old son was able to knock his first deer down. He was an old warrior. Right side was broken off right at his brow tine. Other than this one it was all young bucks but they were cruising and not interested in the corn at all. Iíll be back up Sunday and now itís my turn try to stick one!

Congrats, Stetson! That's an awesome mule!

I too was fortunate last night and finally caught up with one of my two targets- a large 6-point that I first got pics of last year. Definitely needed to get him out of the gene pool and happy to burn my tag on him. Gonna check the tooth wear too as I feel he's definitely got some age on him.

This was him last year:
