Default Post your pics: illegal border crossing

Those of you who have land or lease on or near the TX/Mexico border, post up your trail cam pics of illegals crossing through your land.

Recent posts here seem to indicate a significant rise in numbers and sizes of groups coming in under cover of dark since the start of 2021.

The purpose here is to open our eyes up to see the gravity of the situation, especially for those of us far removed from the day to day infiltration of our border.

I used to live in a small border town near El Paso and we had small groups of illegals come through our fields at night, some 20 years ago. Since moving to N.TX I havent really seen it first hand, but it is happening.

Back in October. In December, had 20...18 males and 2 females walk 15' in front of the stand my son and I were sitting in. They took a minute trying to decide whether they were going to walk past us, but they did just that. When I yelled muevete at them, the lead guy stopped, looked at the blind and put his hands up like he was pleading for me not to call BP. Then just continued on North. I did not call the BP. I will not hesitate next time.

Call me a xenophobe if you must, but this open borders nonsense will further bankrupt our already bankrupt country. Nations have sovereignty, enforced borders and enforced laws concerning who can enter. We seemingly have none of these.

The majority of us on TBH know there’s trouble at the border. That being said, the Democrats in power know it too.

Building a feed pen and placing your camera inside it will help on wasting your pictures or get the camera stolen

Illegals usually avoid getting in the pen

Now tower blinds are like magnets for walkers ( they use them as landmarks) and they usually are on good roads and pipelines

UNREAL

And the Federal Government is not doing a thing to stop it. Gates are wide open.

Yet I am required to continue to work hard and pay taxes to support those not working, needing free education and health care. Absolutely ridiculous.

Every year we spend so much money trying to replace and fix the fences that they destroy. They don't care and usually our cattle end up in another pastures. Border patrol say that they are not responsible for repairs.

BAck when my dad was on Texas Border Volunteers, prior to Trump taking office, he said 60% were OTM (Other than Mexican). Most of those OTM were actually Chinese followed closely by Middle Eastern.

Our encounters are daily/nightly:
High speed chases and bale outs
Mexican food wrappers and water bottles left in stands over night
Camp house broken into
Refrigerator s and freezers left open
Human excrement on the floor, toilet, trash cans, shower etc
Theft

It’s endless.
We are east of Falfurrias off 285. Major thoroughfare.

Drove in and parked on our lease in La Salle county one morning. Got out of the truck, strapped on the .357 and walked over to the shwer room door to open it. When I did, there were 5 sets of eyes looking at me. I just raised my phone and started dialing as I turned and walked to the landowner's house to see if they had hired a group--nope When I got back the back door was open and all were gone. When I looked out the back door, there were several shoes, and other clothing items in a trail away, and one t-shirt hanging in the mesquite. Had several other encounters in the 7 years we were on the lease, to include breaking the window to the main cabin, climbing in, cooking something out of the freezer, and leaving dirty dishes. On another lease, we just left the door to the camper trailer wired shut so they didn't have to break in, and we left several cans of beans and a can oener on the table inside. We always found the empty cans around a fire in the brush around the camp---and always kept a spare can opener in the trucks.

One of the big problems with them coming over is US, as in you and me. If we didn't hire them, they wouldn't come. I, for one, will not hire an illegal. I am building a house soon and when I do, I will make sure no illegals work on my land. I understand I will have to pay more but I put my money where my mouth is. Do you?

I see where I messed up and I apologize. I didn't mean to direct it to you (by quoting you, I did). I meant it to be an open question to all, not just you. And, BTW, great job on the hire selection. I won't be asking for papers as well, I will expect that from my contractor.
