Not much to post here lately. We got the granite for the kitchen and bathroom picked out today. The tile guy started on the shower and we ordered all of our appliances as well the 3/4 plywood thatís going around the inside walls of the shop.

Trackhoe and Dozer are supposed to arrive tomorrow to start moving dirt.

We are hoping to finish soon. Guessing around 4 weeks left!

Waiting on the cabinets to get built and the appliances to arrive. Not too much longer I hope.

My wife got the shop fridge stocked up

Looks awesome! I am behind you on build myself and will need to start a thread soon at some point! Currently working on second bid and we have locked down on plans, met with electric company and picked out stone thus far. Hopefully will break ground in August/September.

Good luck. Take lots of pictures of the build as it progresses. You will enjoy them later.

Ps. It gets expensive quick

Man, you have made some great progress on your place.

Is that the finished floor, or are you doing something else?

Very nice. I have done a couple concrete floors also and really like the look, when its laid down well.

Especially in the summer time. I think it helps with cooling the house.

this project goes a lot slower when you try to do as much as you can yourself to save money.

We got started on this wall after work yesterday ....going try to get more done this evening.

Cabinet maker has been bouncing around to a few jobs and is supposed to have ours finished on Friday.

Just a few updated pictures of where the place is at.

Painters started yesterday with taping everything off and putting spackling on all the nail holes. 5 days and they should be out. Granite is cut and ready to install once paint gets through.

Also we had the US Automatics gate entry installed this week. No more getting out to open the gate.

Pond has finally settled in the bottom and itís rising a little bit and really clearing up thanks to the little spring in the bottom.

I can see the end in sight!

Looking really good man. I really like the floors. They came out really good.

Did you have to put down anything in the pond to help hold water or does the red dirt do well with that. My old boss said they had to put down something like bentonite, but they also had a place in Doss where it is rocky.

Those floors look really nice. We are finishing up bank paperwork to build a new house. The last house we stained the floors. My wife wants to go with just sealed concrete for this house. If you don't mind me asking, What product or products did you use for your floor?

We cleaned with SCR and sealed with the Super 30. We cleaned the floor 4 times before we sealed it.

I spread around 75 tons of crushed concrete over the weekend. Got some good dirt spread out beside the apartment as well so we can finally grow some grass.

Paint is finishing up on Wednesday, granite is Thursday. Backsplash is Saturday and then we can install the appliances on Sunday.

Also added a 4.5íx8í pad behind the boat for the generac generator and air compressor to sit.

Default Barndominium Build - Deep East Texas

Itís time to move all of the appliances in and for l the plumber to finish out the plumbing. The cabinet handles are on their way.

Itís been a long process since the day we bought the land to now but itís all been worth it!

Here are a few updated pictures as of yesterday

Man, everything turned out great. That is going to make for some nice living.

And the pond is coming along. Just sucks we went into this dry spell. Hopefully one, or both of the storms heading our way help to top it off. lol

This was an amazing binge read!! You have one heck of a place. I just put a shop and a single wide on my 70 acres and should be in it next week. I'm looking into gate openers for my wife. How do you like the solar powered opener?
