What is it with These Critters (Blackbuck)?

The following pics tell the strory. This camera spent the season on a gate on the ranch that remains open, mostly, and is a pretty good travel route for the critters. I have a Gametamer overlooking and shot a deer from there.

Why are the blackbucks treating the opening like hot lava?

The "control" pic. Snow, no lava.

maybe they are used to cattle guards at most gates, they learned the first time they tried to walk one to never do it again.

I've been in that stand and had axis do the same thing. I thought it was the hand corn strewn about for my hunt. There is no corn there for the blackbuck to leap.

Strange and interesting. The cattle guard theory makes the most sense to me.

That’s pretty funny. The camera doesn’t make any audible noises, right?

Markings look very similar with different lighting, could those jumping pics be of the same animal?

Blackbuck are just strange animals. On the ranch I used to work on they would jump the road every time they went across it. For no reason at all they would just jump across it.
