          Go with what Randy uses^^^^^^^
Get some good socks and sock liners. You'll be fine. You won't look like a hillbilly when you're hiking either!

I've got Meindl's, but I'm gonna try those Solomon ^^^ this year in CO. Something less clumsy and a little more athletic.

Danner uninsulated and Irish Setter insulated 1200 have been the favorites for me.

My first elk hunt I bought a pair of Danner Pronghorns. Heavy and uncomfortable. Fast forward to my second elk hunt a few years later and I went went La Sportiva. I can walk for miles in them and feel great.

To be honest I have been very pleased with my Ariat Catalyst GTX, another great boot is the Schnees Pac boot (very common boot for guides in WY). The key for me is high ankle support and depending on whether or not horses are being used they need to fit comfortable in the stirrups, some boots are too wide.
