We have these things bad. Every time you get on 4wheeler or tractor they are bombarding and biting you.
I tried a few different things with minimal results, then I found this video and it led to a few more. So I combined a few things, 1/2 gal milk jug, cheap blue spray paint, fiberglass rod I had (small dowel stick would work too) and some Tanglefoot insect barrier Put it all together and made a trip to the back of the place and back. I mounted it on the back rack, slightly higher than my head. When I got back to the house I had 26 of the little biting devils stuck to the jug ![]() I think I had one light on the back of my head I would say it worked good. I have less than $15 invested and that is paint and Tanglefoot which will make many, many more of these traps So if you are tired of getting bit by these little yellow devils at the deer lease or house this works |

I'm trying this as I despise these flies. They tend to use exposed skin as a landing strip and feeding ground.
Were you able to find the Tanglefoot locally or have to order it? Spray on or brush? |

Local ACE Hardware had the brush on. Comes in a can like PVC glue comes in ~$8
Unless I am wearing a straw hat they like to bite me right on back of the head ![]() |

That's pretty slick. I wonder if it works in the spring on buffalo gnats.
