    Hunger in America

Why. I've never understood this. I recently bought a 2lb bag of Great Value pinto beans $5.50 and cooked 1/2 a bag with a ham bone. I have had 4 delicious meals from the 1/2 bag and still have some left.

10 pound bag of potatoes $3.24. 1 gallon milk $2.91.

We are the fattest country on the planet and yet I constantly hear we need to "fight hunger in America".

I’m with you. Recently was at Disney World and you wouldn’t believe how many people were on scooters that could walk but were too lazy to.

You ain’t by yourself, but that takes initiative and effort. So many folks don’t want to do that these days. That’s why the socialists are so popular in areas of large populations.

You got screwed on those beans. A 2lb bag of pinto beans is like $1.50

$5.50 for beans! Are the magic beans? I usually pay less than a dollar per pound.

“Starving in America” is not the same as starving in another country, or a third world country. We live and thrive on excess. Most, if not a large majority of the American population, would have absolutely no idea what to do if the fast service restaurants didn’t exist. What’s crazy is that we are only a generation removed from the war rations, bread lines, and gas shortages of WW II...

Most of the people that need to be eating rice and beans....won't and don't.

The real issue in America is with the hunger to be self sufficient or the lack there of.

Hunger in America? We are one of the few places in the world where poor people are fat.

This is a Blessed Nation. Some folks just refuse to receive the Blessing. If you need to eat in this Country you can.

To many EXPECT a free hand out, many believe the government should provide for them. I agree with you on this matter .

Amen to the blessed nation. The other day I was in a new HEB store. Looking around at all the selections. Then somebody bitching about the bananas were too ripe. Made me think that they should maybe move.
