Probably Coopers. Will have to say the last time I ate there it was almost as good as it was back in Highschool. Friend who runs it said they power washed And re-seasoned he pits. The past few yrs they had gotten tainted

The BBQ Shak in Burnet has the best sliced beef sandwich anywhere. But mainly only open at lunchtime because they run out of food.

I like the BBQ Shak. As for that other place mentioned, I've tried it four times and it was horrible each time.

If you make it down towards Blanco, try Old 300 BBQ.

Coopers and the place on 29 in Burnet are the only decent places.

Coopers is absolutely the best, the shak in Burnet has good brisket and chicken.

Coopers is a different style than most are used to. It's always good at the Llano location when I stop by. Remember, it's different than other Texas styles.

Not sure how close it is but Opie's in Spicewood is excellent. They seem to combine the Coopers style and central Texas brisket. The sweet and spicy baby back ribs are amazing.

Cooper's is always good. What about Big John's, headed west between the lake and Llano, is it still open? Hadnt been that way in a while, but they used to have pretty good bbq.

BBQ Shack in Burnet (Robert Payne). Also, try there regular sausage that he brings in from Snook, pretty darn good!! Robert makes his jalapeno sausage at the shop. Brisket smoked for over 20 hours. Grew up with Coopers, Tommy been gone a pretty long while. Direct cook pits. Wooten's have done a good job. It depends on the time of the year, the amount of traffic and if you are a local boy or a democrat!
