Great looking deer congrats

We spotted this deer around 12:00pm in the valley below.




He was trailing two does, and was fighting off a small seven point.

Wind was at our back in the picture above, so we made a big circle to southeast to try and intercept them on their way to river.

Sit up on the hill below overlooking the Snake river, and sure enough, they started filtering below us at about 300 yards in the picture below.




The buck stopped at 200 yards, and I was fortunate to make a good shot, dropping him in his tracks!

His right side is broken up, but I couldn’t be happier with this deer!

Live weight was 245lbs, and he dressed out right out 200lbs.

We scored him at 142”, with almost 20” of broken times…my biggest whitetail to date!!!
