    Food plot Medina county

I’ll start off with the fact that this topic has probably been discussed before but I hunt just north of Hondo and have usually planted regular oats in my food plot simply because we usually have leftover from planting fields, my question is it worth going to a blended mix for deer or are oats just fine any help would be greatly appreciated

I hunt North of Hondo off 173. Like to hear more about this.

In the past we have planted straight oats (Coranado seed oats @ 100#\ac) with a 15-15-15 fertilizer (100#\ac), disked in then rolled. We have had good luck with that and the deer crushed it all season long. Menard County. Always looking for ideas to improve.

I’ve had great luck doing straight oats just curious if it would be worth switching it up
