I don't know what's worse: Drew Smyly as a pitcher, or Shin Soo Choo as a defensive outfielder. Smyly wasn't good last night. But, Choo was a one man wrecking crew in the field in the first inning.

This year plus one more on the Choo contract? Worst contract, at least for the club, in MLB history? Prince Fielder may have something to say about that i suppose. Jeez.

Miller? Yea hes been garbage. Really thought he might be able to find some half *** form but its not happening. Smyly hasn't been much either though.

Choo is who they thought he is when they signed him. They didn't sign him for his glove. When hes been healthy he gets on base. Yes he was over paid.

Random stat from Twitter -

Joey Gallo has 100 career HR and only 6 career GIDP.

No player has had a career with more than 10 times as many HR as GIDP.* Gallo has 16.67 times as many HR as GIDP.

*Min. 1000 PA, since GIDP first tracked consistently in 1939. -AJE

Only a 4 run lead..... Chavez should only be used after a forfeit or a 25+ run lead

Stinky gets in on the action as well with a 2 run shot. Offense is clicking and Lynn with another solid outing so far.

Once again it's proven, when the Rangers score touchdowns, they can win.

First series win on the road of the season. Sad.

Joey Gallo leads the AL in OPS with a 1.065. His 2.1 WAR this season is already as much as he racked up in 2018

Lots of cards fans here. Lots.

And cubs fans, with jerseys, behind me.

What do a vegan, a Bitcoin enthusiast and a cubs fan have in common? None of them will shut the hell up about it.

Update: the two cubs fans are both from Chicago. He is putting Mio in his vodka drinks and she referred to him as her "sex mate" in a conversation with a 12 year old...

Made an assumption it was vodka. Not sure what else you combine Mio with. He would get up and come back with 2 more every inning and they were both drunk. But just about fit the description of yuppie from Chicago.

I don't think the kid understood what the hell was going on.

Bat's were great. It's good to get a game's worth of offense in one inning.

KTCK, The Ticket, reporting that Josh Hamilton will be inducted into Texas Ranger Baseball Club Hall of Fame later this summer. Not sure how i feel about that, but good for him i suppose.

Mike Minor tonight. Hoping the hits keep coming.

Those were some of the best years of baseball by any player I've ever seen, and they resulted in 2 world series appearances...regardless of his dumb comments when he left, he deserves it.

Agreed. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Texas Rangers season record for batting average, 9th best Ranger BA, 3rd highest slugging %, 3rd highest Ops... He was a generational talent and it sucks we didn't get to see him at 100% in a shortened career.

Agree...hard to find a player with the over all game any better during the time he was going good. He put butts in the seats back then both on the road and at home. Sad for him that his body couldn't keep up the pace longevity-wise. The Rangers sure got the best of his years.
