Not will be given, but was released....

[[[ A day later, it’s now being reported that USC has granted McCoy a release from his National Letter of Intent, which the prospect signed last December.]]]

Greg Biggins, USC 247 reporter, said he’d been granted the release.

I agree with the scholarship deal.

Bru's transfer didn't hurt anyone, but do we really want to start giving these kids the option to transfer before classes start. Signing days are hectic enough.

I donít believe so. But if a coach spends time recruiting a kid, and he makes the biggest decision of his young life based on a coach/coaches, and that coach up and bails out, I think the kid should have an option.

No Cowboys for 6 years. The cannon is owned by the University. There was no suspension on the cannon being shot last I saw. I'm sure they find somebody else to fire it off during the suspension.

Yep, this happened in the mid to late 90's as well. If I remember correctly a hazed/drunk pledge fell in a river and drowned at an all nighter out in Bastrop. I believe they were required to drink a whole bottle of crown if my memory is correct but it has been 20 years. The Silver Spurs (group that takes care of Bevo) took over the cannon until the Cowboys came back. There are plenty of groups on campus that could take it over.

the silver spurs....bevo's handlers will most likely take over cannon duties. They've done it before.

Yes, in a car wreck on the way back from an event. That started them poking around and found out about the hazing.

I am not defending the group, but pretty much same stuff that most college groups are do. Just dumb college stuff that unfortunately goes to far sometimes.

It’s the times we live in. College kids being college kids....part of it. Not defending it either, but it’s a right of passage. It’s generally the ones who’ve never been part of a team, of any kind, who do the squealing. Mostly, it’s harmless fun, but it does get out of hand at times and it ruins it for everyone else.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you **** your pants.” I think that’s the way it goes.

I read that this morning. It said that 1/2 of the roster is hurt or they are waiting on freshman / grad tranfers.

I am looking forward to be in Austin in a few weeks. Going to be a great weekend of Karla's birthday (Ranch 616), Texas Baseball, Texas Football and a Ludacris show.

That's what GP said. Doesn't make much sense to me. The starters rarely play in it anyways, but this seems a little ridiculous IMO. He's always been funny about the Spring Game and doesn't like playing it but it's never been anything more than a regular scrimmage for the 2's and 3's as it is. He gets very paranoid about things lol

Every team has injuries to worry about, but it sure seems TCU has more than their fair share every year. Any reason for this or just bad luck?

My personal opinion is Sommers is great with the strength part but something is going on with the flexibility side of things. They get a lot of underrecruited, projectible type kids and bulk them up and they end up getting tight. Once again, this is just my take....

Really hate to read this. For something that is "just a game" there sure are a lot of life altering injuries. He is at least putting up a positive face. I wish him luck and will pray for him.

Yes. Not sure on channel yet. FSOK 675 Directv. The only thing I’ve found is the replay on Sunday.
