Default Africa Buffalo Hunt 2019

South Africa 2019 – I was fortunate to head to Africa for a 10 day buffalo hunt in the Kalahari with my brother. We hunted with Coenraad Vermack Safaris on 240,000 acres of unspoiled beautifulness. He and I were the only hunters there. I was rifle hunting and ended up taking a good buff, 2 zebra, eland, wildebeest, impala and the 2nd largest gemsbok ever taken there (missed by ˝”). My brother killed a great buff, a monster eland and a couple of zebras. So fun to experience this with my brother. First class facilities, service and food but most importantly, the folks are tops. I am now hooked on buffalo hunting. Saw all of the Big 5 and had some close encounters on all of them. I won’t bore you with stories or details, just some cool pics. . .

Looks like a trip of a lifetime. Great animals and pics. Your first Zebra "booty pic" makes me laugh. It's a beautiful Zebra, but my mind is seeing a big butt girl

That is awesome. Have seen a bunch of the pics on Scruffy's Facebook page. We hunted with CVS way back in 1993. Still one of the best outfitters going. Congrats on some amazing animals. And besides the crater in Tanzania, that might be the biggest buff I've ever seen in the black and white photo. Wow. 50+

No I did not hunted with Molopo Kalahari Safari in the northwest province on he SA Botswana border. I could tell it was a tank. Hard to fathom 43” I shot a 38” bull when I was there.

38” is a big gemsie. My guide didn’t let on to me how big he was until after he went down. Our north gate was 100 yds from Botswana border. It was amazing to me how much it all looks like South Texas.

Ok, if you insist. So on the last night we are on the way home after sunset and a lioness crosses the road in front of us. My guide gets excited and says she is hunting. He turns off the engine and we try to watch with our binos in the fading light. There were a small group of wildebeest to our west. My guide gets out of the landcruiser and gets on top of the roof to get a better view. I get out and stand at the left front tire of the cruiser. As I am looking through my binos and all eyes facing west, I think to myself, where is the rest of the pride?? At that instance, my cameraman starts yelling for me to get in the truck, get in the truck. Three males had literally snuck up on the east side of the truck and we didn't hear a sound. They were 10-15’ away. Got my heart rate elevated.
