FFP 1-4x for crossbow?

Any reason not to run a first focal plain scope for a crossbow?
I'll have to shoot it to find out what the reticle lines correspond to in yards but it should work okay shouldn't it?

It will work ok if you do what you said and figure out what the drop is between your linds with what you have the top one set at like 20 yars and you will be about an inch high at 10 depending on your crossbow and bolt.

The reason many crossbow scopes are variable and SFP is so when set to one power they will be on in 10 yard increments at the setting for that speed.

Thanks. I ended up going with a red dot sight. Reality is all my shots will be 15-30 yards and this thing shoots pretty flat.
