We are off on Monday, 7/5. Pretty standard in the Corporate world for the 4th of July to be one of the paid holidays and typical procedure is if it lands on a Saturday, you get the Friday before and if it lands on a Sunday, you get the Monday after. Same goes for the other fixed date holidays that can land on different days of the week each year like Christmas Day, New Years Day, etc.

I work for a staffing company, we are closed on Monday and most of our clients that aren't giant warehouses are as well.

I work for the state, I'll be working. Any holidays that fall on weekend, we're SOL.

State as well but thankfully agency declared it minimum staff day ... I ain’t minimal ...
