Anyone else having trouble with the brown,fuzzy caterpillers ? The oak trees are full of em' and every evening they swarm the house and shop.Have been keeping them at bay with 7 dust and spraying Cutter,but I'm losing the battle.Will the lawn granules in a spreader slow them down any ? Am located in Galveston Co.

Sounds like "web worms" or "tent caterpillars"

Probably tussock moth larva. Any of the pyrethroids will knock them down. Permethrin, bifenthrin, etc.Comment

Some of these are tenting in the oaks and there are a few of the tussocks in the trees also.Guy at work had a tussock down his shirt collar a few days ago,he was squalling like a baby goat !Comment

Tent Caterpillars. I tried to make lemonade out of lemons with them last year and gathered a bunch for several fishing trips...couldn't get anything to bite em.Comment
