Overnight deer track. Meat any good?

Shot a bucks at 4:30 last night. Had to back out when I lost blood. Just found him at 8:00 am. 44 degrees overnight. Thoughts on the meat?

If 44 over night should be fine.

personally I think you fine. As long as he wasn't gut shot.

Entry was front stomach/liver. Exit was opposite lung.

I maybe wouldn’t mess with the tenders, which sucks, but the rest should be fine.

I don’t think so. Temperature was much warmer at 4:30 pm and probably didn’t get below 50* for 6-8 hours. Of course it’s your call.

I’ve let deer hang in the mid 50’s overnight and was fine

Take him to a processor that mixes meat. Should be diluted down enough that you won’t get sick.
