    Good Eats in Harlingen?

Flying in to Harlingen with my 12 yr old son this Friday to drop him off for Marine Military Academy's summer camp beginning Saturday. I'd like to find a good place to stuff our faces for dinner and breakfast. Any recommendations?

Go over to Edinburg and get some Delia's Tamales. Best there is. Period.
There's every chain in the world in Harlingen though, if that appeals to you.

I put my kid in that Camp last year, and we still talk about it. It was a good experience and hopefully its getting back to normal so he meets kids from all over!

La Playa for dinner. Great Mexican food and margaritas.

BBQ place called the watering hole

Our go to spot for breakfast is Las Cazuelas for breakfast on weekends.

Taco Palenque. It’s a chain restaurant, but I love the fajitas.

My buddy used to coach baseball at MMA a few years back.

Its 45 min away but in port mansfield sweet gregory has some good bbq. Youll drive through the King Ranch might see some nilgai and can see plenty of huge deer in the town. Bring some corn and you can hand feed some

I live in San Benito which in the neighboring city. I would add Las Vegas Caffe and El Gallito which is in San Benito.

Pretty much any non chain Mexican food places. Pick the one that your feet stick to the floor and smells like fabuloso

This right here. My son went 2 years ago and he loved it. Great experience.

They used to be way better!!! We got at least once a month for years and I’ve noticed the difference. But they are still pretty good.

I’ll be following this thread. Headed down there in two weeks to hunt Nilgai and will be staying a few nights in Harlingen.
