I got on a lease in southeast Oklahoma last year. We were told there was bear on this place. We bear proofed everything we could. Not one single picture or any sign of bear. I had planned to spend last season learning the place and then try step up for one this year. I was pretty put out after no signs. I turned one of my cameras on a couple of weeks ago on a huge clear cut. Three days after turning it on get one picture of a bear. 2 nights later another pic. Made a mad dash up there and put a barrel out. Filled it will 100 lbs corn, 50 lbs dog food and popcorn.
He is now coming in like clockwork. I know nothing about bears, but this year I’m hunting Ol Roy.

If you have any oaks producing acorns, you better get him before the acorns drop. Once they do drop, he’s likely to abandon the bait barrel!!!!
